Suspecting sexual abuse of a child abroad - Inform the police

Are you in another country and suspect that a child is being sexually abused?Inform the police! Your observations may help us to prevent more such abuse.

This form can be used to inform the police. The information you provide will be sent directly to a specialised unit within the Swedish National Criminal Police, a unit that combats sexual abuse of children in other countries. The information you provide will be evaluated and processed. If the information raises sufficiently serious suspicions an investigation will be initiated.

You are welcome to inform us anonymously, but the investigation may be affected if we are not able to ask you complementary questions. The more information you can provide the better.

Where did the incident take place? Please state country, city/place, and hotel etc.

When did the incident take place? Please state date and time (local).

How did your suspicions arise? Please state what made you react.

What did the suspect look like? Please state sex, age, height, build, hair, clothing and name, if known.

Did the suspect have any distinctive marks such as tattoos, scars, jewellery or a special dialect/accent?

What did the abused child look like? Please state sex, age, height, build, hair, clothing and name, if known.

How can we reach you? Please state name, telephone number and e-mail address.

Have others made the same observations? Please state the name/s and contact information of other witnesses.

Do you have photographs or films of the suspect, the child or the place? Please e-mail them to childabuse@rkp.police.se.
