These are the special initiatives:

• Joint Consultative Committee, for joint planning between senior police officers, local municipalities and other social organisations with a view to developing the work on strategic crime prevention
• Police Liaison Officers for schools, to develop the crime prevention partnership between the police and school administrations
• Local Police Stations, for developing a climate of trust between the police and the residents in selected areas
• Police Volunteers, to mobilise the forces of good to prevent crime in the community
• Mobile Police Stations, to increase the visibility and availability of the police to the public in places where there is a temporary need.
• NOVA, against organised crime. An important goal is to prevent young people from being recruited into criminal networks
• Support Centre for young victims of crime to support children and adolescents who are victims of crime or witnesses when someone else is the victim of a crime
• Youth Council, to increase young people's trust in the police and increase police awareness of youth issues
• Investigation Centre for young offenders, for quick action and cooperation between the police, social services and prosecutors to reduce criminality among young people
