Contacting the police

Contact the police if you want to report a crime, have any questions, or want to leave a tip. The non-emergency number for the police is 114 14. In an emergency, call 112.

114 14 – In a non-emergency

114 14 is the number you should call when you have a matter for the police that is not an emergency, for instance a report or a tip on a crime, information on passport questions, permit questions, addresses and office hours, or to contact the switchboard or a person who works with the police in a specific police authority.

112 is the emergency number you should call for urgent help and where there is danger to life, property, or the environment. The emergency number 112 is for those who need immediate help from services like the police, emergency services, or an ambulance.
